EXPLORE FAITH

How good do you have to be
to go to Heaven?

Most of us try to be good people. We help others, care for our families, and hope that our good outweighs our bad. But how good is good enough for Heaven?

What if the answer depends on something more than how we compare with other people? Explore what the Bible says about God’s standard, our need for forgiveness, and the hope found in Jesus Christ.

How Good Is Enough?

Take a closer look at the question of goodness and eternal life.

Our need is real.

The Bible teaches that we have all sinned. We cannot earn forgiveness through good behavior, religious rituals, or church membership.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Romans 3:23 · KJV

God’s love is real, too.

Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. Salvation is God’s gift, received through faith in Jesus—not something we can purchase or deserve.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 · KJV

A promise you can trust.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13 · KJV

Our hope rests in Jesus Christ, who saves those who trust Him. Being better than someone else cannot give us the forgiveness only He can provide.
